Yum Smoothie

These past few months I have been trying to rid my body of chemicals through choosing preservative free food and drink that are as close to nature as possible and also through simplifying and naturalising my beauty routine. Raw, organic, cold-pressed coconut oil has been a bit of a multi-tasker for me in this endeavour. I always add a tablespoon to my yum smoothies to add healthy fats and a thick creaminess. With a combination of bananas, coconut milk, peanut butter and a variety of spices, this rich and nutritious smoothie will leave you satisfied and nourished!

Magical Ingredients:

• 2 frozen bananas
• 400ml coconut milk
• 100ml filtered water
• 1 heaped tbs natural peanut butter
• Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
• 1 tbs coconut oil
• Pinch of cinnamon
• Pinch of nutmeg
• Piece of turmeric root
• Caco nibs to sprinkle on top

What to do:

• Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender
• Optional: Add a tsp of chlorella or spirulina and turn it into a yum green smoothie!
